Conduit Health Consultant Psychiatrists
Dr. Gregory Sam
Dr. Sam is a general psychiatrist with a keen interest in all areas of Psychiatry. He is able to provide 291 once-off diagnostic assessments and management plans, and is passionate about increasing mental health access. He is founder and director of Conduit Health delivering telepsychiatry services to rural Australia and abroad.
Dr. Tennent (Shaun) Tampiyappa
Dr Tampiyappa graduated from King’s College London in 1994 and completed his psychiatric training at the Royal Free Hospital, London. He has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2003 in which the last ten years have been in Melbourne.
Shaun seeks to understand the person in multiple perspectives; biological, social, cultural and psychodynamically. He is very interested in reviewing psychiatric diagnosis and treatment as he is concerned about the impact of iatrogenesis.

Dr. Catherine Nyuthe
Dr Nyuthe has an interest in perinatal psychiatry, impairment assessments and anxiety
disorders. Her assessment specialties include, but are not limited to, depression, PTSD, panic disorder, stress, trauma, and psychological injury secondary to physical conditions.
Dr. Aparna Chawla
Dr Chawla is a psychiatrist who has gained broad experience at Monash Health in a range of settings such as acute wards, extended care, crisis teams and community teams. She also has experience working with dual diagnosis (addiction and mental health problems). Areas of interest include anxiety, depression, and bipolar affective disorder using a range of biological and psychological treatments.

Dr. Mitali Das
Dr Das is a general adult psychiatrist who has worked in emergency psychiatry, crisis teams, secure extended care and rehabilitation, as well as inpatient and community settings in Monash & Peninsula Health. Her interests include treatment of high prevalence disorders: depression, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety, OCD, and psychosis.

Dr. Timothy Chew
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Dr Chew undertook undergraduate medical training in Dundee, Scotland. He has since completed Child and Adolescent and general psychiatry training in Monash Health in 2014. Alongside his private work commitments in Melbourne, Timothy continues to provide clinical services as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Headspace Youth Early Psychosis program, within an early interventions framework of care for young people at risk or experiencing early psychosis.
Timothy has a field of interest in Child and adolescent psychiatry, youth, family and child-focused parent therapy, individual psychotherapy, collaborative and shared care with psychologist, primary health practitioner and school system.

Dr. Arun Pillai-Sasidharan
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Pillai trained psychiatry in Brisbane and Melbourne, he has experience of working in a range of public and private settings.
Arun has special interests in Child, adolescent and youth psychiatry with a focus on children, families and young adults. Dr. Pillai also has interest in early developmental disorders including attachment disorder, gender incongruence, mood and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Karen Gwee
General & Peri Natal Psychiatry
Dr Gwee is a general adult psychiatrist with an interest in mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders and perinatal psychiatry. She is able to provide psychiatric assessments under item 291 or ongoing management of clients.

Dr. Samantha Loi
Old Age General Psychiatry
Dr. Loi is a consultant psychiatrist trained in psychiatry of old age and neuropsychiatry, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. She currently works at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Neuropsychiatry Unit where she sees patients with complex neuropsychiatric conditions. She has also extensive experience working with older people in community and residential settings, as well as providing education about dementia and other psychiatric conditions in older age. Dr. Loi completed her PhD in 2016 and is still actively involved in the research arena.
